Hi. For our first session. I just want to explain about the book and how we are going to use it. For the next post, you'll need to read chapters 1 and 2 of the book. It's 28 pages. It's a light read and I will post information within the next week. Probably later today or tomorrow since I've already read those two chapters before deciding to do this blog.
1. Introduce yourselves. :) Let us know your name and your children's names and ages.
2. What is one of your greatest joys in being a mother?
3. What is one of your greatest challenges in being a mother?
4. If you were going to choose one time of day that you most enjoy or cherish as a mom, when would it be?
5. What is your most dreaded time of day?
6. Any prayer requests you may have.

So, I'm Tiffany. I have Hannah who is 2 1/2 (born June 06) and Christopher who is 11 months (born February 08). One of my greatest joys of being a mother is watching them grow and learn so much. Greatest challenges is when they are sick and I don't know it yet, it gets really frustrating. Most cherished time of day-used to be the morning and getting my "good morning" hug as we call it here. Right now, I dread the mornings though, because of the lack of sleep due to my son's ear infection of 6 weeks. So, its both, my favorite and dreaded. :)
ReplyDeletePrayer requests: For Christopher's poor little ears. We go to the doctor on the 13th to see if they are healed. For me to get the rest I need to focus on my family and home throughout the day.
Hi! I'm Diane and I have 3 children who are grown. Eva just turned 28 (wow!), Zachary is 25, and Jesse is 19 and in college but still living at home. My greatest joy in being a mother has been watching them develop into truly wonderful adults and actually becoming friends with them. My greatest challenge in this season of life is to not rush in and try to "fix" things but instead to let them experience the suffering that goes along with life. The time of the day that I most cherish, now that they are grown, is any time we are able to have some time to talk and share together. I don't really have a dreaded time of the day anymore because my kids are grown now but when they were little, I think mornings were the hardest because it was another day and we had to do it all over again.
ReplyDeletePraise: I found out a couple of hours ago that I will be starting a new job next week, one that I think will be exactly what I've been looking for.
Prayer Request: Please pray that God will give abundant grace when I have to tell my current boss on Monday that I'm quitting, and that I will be able to leave on a good note.
